DMCA Copyright Policy

AtlantaCalendar respects intellectual property rights and expects hosts, venues, and users to do the same. Event flyers, photos, videos, and descriptions are often uploaded by third parties. If you believe material on theatlantacalendar.com infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice as described below.

Operators may also register a Designated Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA directory to strengthen safe-harbor protections.

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c), a valid notice should include:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
3. Identification of the material to remove (URL of the event page or direct link to the image/file) and information reasonably sufficient to locate it
4. Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner

Upon receiving a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the material and notify the user who posted it. Repeat infringers may have accounts terminated.

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same email including: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and phone; and consent to jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or Georgia if outside the U.S.), plus acceptance of service of process from the complainant.

After a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the copyright claimant seeks a court order, consistent with the DMCA.

Submitting a false DMCA notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.
